Applied Kinesiology

What is applied kinesiology? Kinesiology, also known as biomechanics, is the study of body movement. Applied kinesiology (AK) which is also know as muscle strength testing, is a method of diagnosis and treatment based on the belief that various muscles are linked to particular organs and glands, and that specific muscle weakness can signal distant internal problems such as nerve damage, reduced blood supply, chemical imbalances or other organ or gland problems. Practitioners contend that by correcting this muscle weakness, you can help heal a problem in the associated internal organ

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Nutritional Medicine is based on the principle that nutrients, including essential micronutrients, are required for the proper functioning of all the biochemical processes on which our bodies depend. Therefore, when treating symptoms or diseases, we look for the underlying causes which, although often partly genetic, are usually very much tied up with nutritional and environmental factors. This is in contrast to the tendency in the conventional medical approach to treat symptoms by means of drugs or surgery.

STRESS-RELATED CONDITIONS

Neuro-Emotional Treatments address the physical and behavioral stress-related conditions of their patients. These conditions include headaches, body pains, phobias, general anxiety, self-sabotaging behaviors, organ dysfunctions and more. It’s important to note that NET does not cure or heal the patient, but rather, NET removes blocks to the natural vitality of the body, “allowing” the body to repair itself naturally.

MATERNITY AND PEDIATRIC CARE

During pregnancy, your body produces hormones to help your ligaments relax. These hormones, combined with a growing belly, can leave you loose-limbed, sway-backed, and unusually clumsy, due to a rapidly lowering center of gravity. Chiropractic care may be able to undo much of this damage and get your lower body in proper alignment for an easier birth. Chiropractic adjustments have been shown to help eliminate breastfeeding complications in newborns.
